Memorial Day Weekend '10

Crescent Lake Campground

We left Friday afternoon for Crescent Lake, which is east of Eugene. It took us about 3 hours to get there. This is a picture of the yurt that we stayed in. Our good friends the Olson's hosted us for the weekend!

Moser and Sever at Crescent Lake

We had beautiful weather on Saturday. Moser LOVED swimming in the water, oh and playing with the other 4+ dogs at camp.

Holly and Sever sitting at the Crater Lake Lodge

Somehow we got wind that Crater Lake was only 50 miles away. On Sunday we decided to make the trip as 3 of the 4 of us had never been there before. It turned out to be more like 100 miles away, but we made it there in good time. The weather was partly cloudy which was disappointing. We had a clear view of the lake but were disappointed that we didn't get to see it's amazing blue water color.

Moser and Roxy swimming at Diamond Lake

All in all we had a great trip, 3 days of nothing but the simplicity of the wilderness. It was nice to take a shower and clean up. Moser however has been sleeping since we got home, too much fun for him this weekend. I consider it a success!

In wedding news... Sever and I anxiously await the arrival of the mail each afternoon, the RSVPs are starting to trickle in. It is fun to read all the little messages that everyone is leaving on their reply cards. Only 61 days until we are Mr. and Mrs. Paulson :)

Long time, no talk...

Well, where do I begin. Things have been crazy lately. I spent last weekend in Alaska visiting Sever. It was a great trip, too short though. It was beautiful on Saturday, we went crabbing and halibut fishing (he knows the way to my heart)! We caught 2 halibut and 6 crabs! What a feast we had that night!

Sunday was blustery so we just hung out. I left Monday afternoon. Man, what a bumpy flight home. If you know me then you know that I HATE FLYING!!! It was by far the worst landing I have ever had, but thank goodness we landed!

I hit the ground running, this week we have 16 hours of conferences. Whew, I am just now getting home from setting up my classroom, yes it is 9:30pm. Summer, where are you?

Wedding update: Well the planning is nearly complete and our big day is just 94 days away! We booked our honeymoon to Maui and can't wait! We won't be honeymooning until December, but we are still excited. I have a stack of travel books with sticky notes in them :)

Pictures? Well my computer crashed and Sever has his so I can't post pictures at this time, sorry! Check back soon!

Love to you all!

Beach Dog

We spent a stormy January weekend at the beach, here are the pictures, finally! Cannon Beach is beautiful no matter the weather. As for Moser, he didn't notice the weather because there was a beach, a tennis ball, and Sever to throw the ball. He LOVES the beach! I had fun taking pictures, hope you enjoy!

Attending the wedding?!

As most of you know the beach is a hot spot for summer vacation travel. With that being said, hotel rooms and beach houses are filling up FAST! We have posted a couple of lodging options on our wedding website... keep in mind that there are hundreds of places to stay. Hotels, beach houses, and condos. There are plenty of options!

Moser's "First" Christmas

This marks Moser's "first" Christmas...last year Sever and I were in Hawai'i and Moser was being shuffled between our friends houses. This year he got his own stocking filled with tennis balls and a fancy dog bone. Once I filled it there was no turning back, he would not stop sniffing it :)

Yes, we realize that it is still Christmas Eve... however, Sever and I have a jam packed day tomorrow so we thought that we should open our gifts to each other this evening! It was nothing short of a BEAVER Christmas! Santa (Sever) brought us both Beaver football jerseys! Santa #2 (Holly) is still holding presents at the Cabela's factory...Santa really messed up this year! Good thing Sever is very understanding and will get his gifts as soon as they hit my doorstep!

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!!!!
Love,
Holly and Sever
