Celebrating 5 years together....apart.

Sever's empty seat at the Beaver game...

Today Sever and I are celebrating 5 years of being together, while being apart (insert sad face here). We are excited for Sever's work in Haines to wrap up within the next month (cross your fingers) so we can be in the same state again. If there is anything we have learned over the past five years it has been that long distance relationships are really hard, but so worth it.

Here's to many more years together!

What a great day! Today is my 25th birthday and I could not be more excited that it fell on 09/09/09! I couldn't go without posting this little message.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes,

Wedding Dress Shopping...

It was my goal to go dress shopping at least once before going back to school, because lord knows that I will be super busy come tomorrow (the first day of school)! Well, not only did I go dress shopping once, I went twice and one walk through David's Bridal. Actually, the walk through of David's Bridal was my first introduction to wedding dresses. As soon and we walked in I was completely overwhelmed. I found nothing that I would want to try on and sadly nothing close to a bridesmaid dress color. About a week later my mom and sister and I went to Charlotte's, a cute little boutique. I found a couple of cute dresses, but mainly discovered all the things that I liked and didn't like in a dress. This past Friday, we went to Tower Bridal in Johns Landing. My sister, mom, and nanny went this time. We picked out about 6 or so dresses to try on...low and behold the last dress I tried on was the one. Sad for you that I can't disclose any of the juicy details, but trust me, it is beautiful.

I still continue my quest for the perfect bridesmaid dress color....I am not sure that the color I have pictured in my head even exists, but I will not give up!

A Walk Down Memory Lane...

Last weekend while Sever was in town we drove through Corvallis to check out our old stomping grounds...I am happy to report that everything appears to be the same, well except for Apperson Hall, which is now Kearney Hall. Sever and I were very excited to walk through the building, we even found a couple of familiar faces hanging on the wall! Enjoy!

Classroom Pictures!

I will be teaching full day kindergarten this year, and could not be more excited. I have spent the last couple of weeks getting my classroom ready. I have had a lot of help from everyone, and it shows. Can't wait for the kiddos to show up on Sept. 8th!

Holly's Visit to Haines!

A beautiful morning in Haines

I can't believe that my three and a half week vacation in Haines, Alaska with Sever and Moser is over. We had so much fun! Before I left Sever had sent me an early birthday present, something that he insisted I need for my trip ...it was a fancy Canon Rebel, digital camera. Needless to say I was more than happy to photograph my time in Haines and took nearly 2,000 pictures, sounds like a lot now that I am writing about it. I have yet to get them printed but will post a few for you to see!

Wedding Website

Since we have a blog I have not wanted to create a wedding website as well. I figured it would just be too much. Well, I created a wedding website...we have a lot of people coming from out of town so I needed a place to post information for those people, regarding accommodations and things. However, when I ordered our save the dates, I put our blog address on them and not our website address. So, if you know of anyone looking for the website link it appears in the right hand corner of the blog, scroll down until you see it. I have not added anything to it yet, but check back occasionally for updates.
